Paavo Nurmi Run/Walk 2008

PRE-REGISTRATION:

The $15 registration fee before July 15 includes run t-shirt. Race numbers and T-shirts can be picked up on Friday, July 25, from 1:00 Ð 5:00 p.m. at the festival market place or race day morning beginning at 7:00 a.m. To ensure a race T-shirt, please pre-register. If you are registering race day morning, register before 7:45 a.m.

REGISTRATION AT FESTIVAL:

$5.00 run/walk registration fee (shirt not included); $15.00 run/walk registration fee, includes long-sleeve shirt. Registrations will also be accepted on the morning of the race, but shirts will be limited at that time. So don't delay, pre-register!

COURSE:

The course begins and ends at the Naselle High School track. The race starts with a lap around the track, then proceeds down to the DOT building and follows the road behind the building for one mile. You will return back for another lap to the Finnish Line where you will be met by a cheering crowd! Water will be available at the turnaround point. This course gradually rises uphill run for one mile out, then turns to a nice downhill run back to the school. The course is a gravel road: caution is required.

AWARDS 9:30 A.M. NHS TRACK:

Awards will be given to the first three finishers in each division for both the run and the walk. Breakfast (biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, and fruit) is available for purchase beginning at 7 a.m. at the ESA, Alpha Theta booth located inside the festival courtyard.

Showers will be available after the race in the school gym Locker-rooms. Bring your own towel, etc.
